Why 21st Century Learning? What's so special about it?

21st Century Learning is very unique in every aspect that you can't imagine. It is literally UNPRECEDENTED. Think of yourself sitting in your desk back in 1900s, a teacher comes in and types something on the board with a chalk and it is forbidden to ask questions, not enough light in the room, your gadgets get broken easily and the class stinks. And now just remember what kind of a class you go to when you take your lessons this term. Yes, I know of course, it is different, there is a 100 year gap I know. But we are improving so unpredictably that we can't estimate what's coming next. Only in the last 20 years, technology and education got so intertwined that almost every item we use involves some kind of a technology. Students didn't have retractable chairs, projectors, innovative teachers(they probably existed but wasn't found suitable for the government at the time) and they didn't even have proper buildings.

So what has changed? Why do we think we are better now?
Because we are now implementing more strategic, more student centered, more situational types of teaching and learning. How did we manage that? Not only items but also the way we learn has changed dramatically. 21st century learning is mainly built upon using the technology to our advantage, letting students acquire the skills to use and understand the implementation of technology with education. This way students know what they are doing and it is no longer a one way conversation where a teacher stands in front of the board and talks all day long without even giving a single break. With the improvisation of the 21st century learning students are able to locate, detect, synthesize information effectively, and they don't have to acquire unnecessary information just to pass their exams either.
